fake news

the recent presidential election created a new form of media “fake news”.Fake news is information that has been manipulated by a writer to create a story that draws audience.Fake news sounds true, and the place where it is published looks real.In the article “fake news author is fire,is apologize to those disappointed to his actions,” Cam Harris, a recent Davidson Collage grad and Republic intern, states, :while the initial motivation behind launching a fake news site was financially bases, the lesson i learned from the experience is far more important and its one that cant be covered in a tweet. Harris was the author of a fake  news article, “Breaking: “tens of thousands of fraudulent Clinton votes found in Ohio warehouse” that may or not swayed voters. His argument evinced the mantra “the election was rigged and “was eventually shared with 6 million people.” “Fake news can be used for political propaganda or for finical gain, but it is lethally irresponsible. Harris and Davidson College apologized for his action however there is no way to retreat the information that people have read and shared. Many are unable to deduce that the news found in these articles are not true.

People who know Davidson College graduate Cameron Harris said he’s a funny, smart guy, and voiced support for the man at the center of a fake news storm. A New York Times story detailed a fake Clinton story he wrote that was shared more than 6 million times.

Calvin Harris author of “Fake” News

In the article the author uses numbers and statics to induce the reader to look closely at the news and for validity.  The fact that Harris is a 23 year old that created such chaos  at such a young age indicates some issues of fake news. The author may be saying that the younger generation does not realize how dangerous this type of news can be. The mention of  ‘Tens of thousands’ of fraudulent Clinton votes.”  was impetus for the article to be shared with 6 million people caused people to believe and spread the news . In his statement, Harris used the phrase “larger dialogue about how Americans approach the media” makes the reader think weary of fake news that are intractable once they get to mainstream media.

Recently my friend told me a exaggerated story of how he got in a fight at a hospital and he supposedly  threw his opponent out of the hospital window. He tried to make it sound believable but come on, that’s  possible for him to do that
